Captured In Stone

This week I have been in rehearsals for my Rolling Stones project- it feels very strange being in the rehearsal room on my own after the collaborative ethos of danceroom Spectroscopy.
My thanks this week go out to the fantastic Phill Tew and Lee J Malcolm for helping over come my learnt-by-osmosis Ableton Live relationship. The score for the show this week needed changing quite dramatically- with a focus on conflict and the impact on civilians, and how public spaces are taken aware from them, my very simple love story of waiting for someone besides a monument just didn’t quite work.

I’ve been working up new tap material (on my amazing new tap floor), new visuals, re soldering my IMU’s, putting together the sound track and booking hotels! I feel like a one man band!
The Imperial War Museum North who have commissioned this piece, and the wider museum family seem quite excited- if you’re in Manchester on Sunday – then come along!
